Yoga originated in India several thousand years ago and is the union of mind body and spirit. The asanas or postures that are practised in a hatha yoga class will keep the body healthy and reduce stress. The asanas increase flexibility and strength and help to control the mind and aid deep relaxation. Relaxation is an important part of each class, allowing the body to rejuvenate.
Inner yoga encompasses the classical asanas of hatha yoga together with the philosophy and spiritual aspects of yoga. We each have an innate ability to feel what is needed in our body and each of us is unique.
